E-trucks added to food transport fleet
A total of twelve Mercedes-Benz ‘eActros 600s’ were delivered to Dachser subsidiary Brummer Logistik recently, thus making Brummer Logistik one of the first recipients of the heavy-duty electric trucks.
The 40 t vehicles have a range of around 500 km and will be used for regional and long-distance food transport in Germany and Austria. The company’s aim is to convert a substantial part of its vehicle fleet of 312 units to battery-electric vehicles over the next few years.
Brummer has installed fast charging stations to charge the e-trucks at its Neuburg am Inn site (Austria), where the new vehicles can be charged with solar electricity that Brummer has produced itself. (ben)
