E-truck with trailers for general cargo network
DB Schenker is further expanding its e-fleet and has purchased 40 Volvo FM electric trucks for Germany. The all-electric 20 t trucks, which can also be fitted to pull trailers, are suitable for urban and regional deliveries.
The new vehicles will be deployed throughout Germany as from December 2024. According to Schenker, they will make an important contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions in overland transport.
The electric drive is also quieter than the combustion engine and the new e-trucks have high safety and comfort standards for drivers. With this acquisition, DB Schenker is continuing its long-term investment in CO₂-reduced land, air and sea freight solutions. (ben)
