Dutch firm Paki Logistics welcomes new director
Paki Logistics, a service provider for the management, supply and relocation of European pallets and standardised exchangeable containers, has appointed Marc Groenewoud as CEO. He replaces Ingrid Faber, who managed the firm on an interim basis after the departure of the former CEO Christian Agasse. Faber said that “we’re convinced that, together with Sven Kokemor and David Mayo, Marc Groenewoud will lead our organisation to growth, thanks to his experience in retail and industrial trade, as well as his entrepreneurial spirit.”
Groenewoud, who lives in Düsseldorf (Germany), started his career at Henkel Detergents, working in various marketing and sales functions in Germany and the United Kingdom. After ten years he joined Metro Cash & Carry, where he led activities in Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Germany. In his time as Metro Cash & Carry CEO in Austria, Groenewoud managed a business with 2,300 staff and a turnover of approximately EUR 800 million.
Paki Logistics, founded in 1974, was taken over by the Netherlands’ Faber Halbertsma Group in 2012. (cd)
