Duisport Group with new rep for inland navigation
Joachim Holstein has been the Duisport Group’s representative for inland navigation since March. In this new position the expert in inland shipping and logistics reports directly to the Executive Board.
In future, Holstein will be the first point of contact for customers and terminals with waterside cargo handling in the port of Duisburg and will also act as a link to associations and political institutions.
In addition, he will intensify cooperation with all other ports along the Rhine and promote the networking and digitalisation of inland shipping with the associated port industry – for example by establishing the River Ports Planning and Information System (RPIS) of Rhein Ports GmbH.
Holstein previously worked for Häfen und Transport AG (HTAG) for 30 years, ten of which also as a member of the board and most recently as managing director of HGK Dry Shipping. (cj)
