Dublin-based distribution for Jysk
Jysk has opened a 50,000 sqm hub in Dublin, from where it plans to enhance distribution capacity and delivery lead times.
The Danish furniture brand operates 21 stores in Ireland, with the expansion beginning in 2019. As the addition of 30 stores in the UK shows, the company is experiencing high demand for its online and in-store operations in the region. The newest distribution centre in Dublin is set to boost its capabilities and allow for the opening of ten more stores by the end of the year.
Jysk is also looking to add 100 new jobs to its existing workforce of 256 people in Ireland. “Stock will be delivered directly to the new distribution centre in Ireland, rather than via Denmark, reducing our carbon footprint in the process,” says Roni Tuominen, Jysk’s country director for Ireland and the UK.
