DSV trials all-electric Volta Zero in the UK
The test vehicle is a 16 t all-electric medium-duty Volta Zero truck. It will operate last-mile groupage deliveries in London and the Southeast. With a battery capacity of 150-225 kWh, the Volta Zero has a real-world pure electric range of 150 – 200 km on a single charge.
The first zero-tailpipe emission truck in DSV’s fleet ensures eco-friendly deliveries and safety. Truckdrivers sit in a lowered central seating position, with 220 degrees of direct vision and 360 degrees of birds-eye camera visibility.
From the central seating position, they can enter and exit onto the pavement from either side of the vehicle through sliding doors, which improves safety for operators, cyclists, and pedestrians. (ben)
