DSV targets next prey
According to Reuters and news agencies, the Danish freight forwarding giant DSV is interested in the takeover of C.H. Robinson’s global forwarding unit which has been for sale for a while. Reuters wrote that a group of investors, which recently met with DSV, were told of the company’s interest in the segment and that the business could sell for as much as USD 9 billion.
C.H. Robinson’s forwarding business has seen strong figures in recent years, its revenues going up in 2021 to USD 6.7 billion and to USD 2.2 billion in Q1/2022.
"The deal would give global transport and logistics giant DSV “critical access to trade lanes across the Pacific Ocean,” Reuters said.
DSV's track record of acquisitions over the last years include the logistics branch of Agility, Panalpina and UTI, to name but a few. (sh)
