DSV buys its first e-truck in Singapore
The transport company has signed a MOU with Volvo Trucks about the purchase of one Volvo FL electric truck. Developed and specially adapted to an urban environment, the vehicle will be used for package deliveries in the Asian city-state.
The acquisition is only a first step in its efforts to accelerate the shift to zero exhaust emission vehicles in Singapore, DSV said.
With the purchase, the haulier aims to ramp up this transition and the decarbonisation of its services in Singapore. The company’s decision is also based on its positive experience with e-trucks in Europe. (ben)
