DSV and Panalpina under one brand in Germany
After having completed the merger on the global level, the Danish transport and logistics services provider DSV has now officially taken over Panalpina’s business in Germany. DSV is represented with three divisions in this country, which are divided into the following business units: DSV air & sea, DSV road and DSV solutions – this tried and tested set-up will be retained with the existing management.
Frank Sobotka, managing director DSV air & sea, Peter Fog-Petersen, managing director DSV Road, Bart Peeters, managing director DSV Solutions as well as Nicolai Knudsen, managing director finance, will head the German DSV group.
In Germany, DSV takes over one of the strongest country branches of the Panalpina network, adding about 2,000 new employees to its staff bringing the workforce up a total of 6,000. Furthermore, new locations in Dresden, Kassel, Kehl, Weiterstadt and Bad Waldsee will complement the network. Existing branches in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Munich will be significantly enhanced. (mw)
