DSV and dm-Drogerie extend contract
DSV has been supplying numerous shops of the drug store chain dm across Germany for more than 30 years. Ahead of schedule, dm has now extended the contract with the Danish transport and logistics provider for another five years.
DSV currently ensures the supply of more than 2,000 dm shops from jointly operated distributions centres. To this end, more than 10,000 pallets are dispatched in more than 1,000 trucks on an average day.
Apart from the regulation of current business conditions, the contract, which was extended ahead of schedule until 2026, includes agreements on the development of innovation projects, digitalisation measures as well as a commitment to joint efforts to improve sustainability.
“The aim of our long-term cooperation is to join forces to develop sustainable solutions, which, as a rule, have less space in the short terms of contract that are customary in our line of business,“ says Christian Bodi, member of the management of dm and responsible for logistics. (mw)
