DPW progressing with Egyptian logistics park

DP World has completed 65% of the first phase of its ‘Sokhna Logistics Park’, a USD 80 million facility in the Suez Canal economic zone.

The hub covers 300,000 sqm and has been designed to enhance supply chain efficiency and strengthen Egypt’s connectivity. Located 10 km from Sokhna Port, the centre will provide warehousing, forwarding and customs clearing services, supporting industries such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, retail, textiles and automotive.

Completion is scheduled for June, with interest from local and international businesses strong, according to DP World.

“The centre will provide cost-effective supply chain solutions for both local and international businesses,” according to Ranjit Ray, DP World’s senior vice-president for economic zones in the Mena region, “thanks to access to DP World’s infrastructure network.” (js)
