Doubling Greece–Italy services
The Turkish subsidiary of Denmark’s DFDS has enhanced its shipping services between Patras and Trieste. Operating on indirect routes between these two ports since 2018, the Greek line of DFDS will launch a separate service with two round-trips a week for the new line. For two years now, the Trieste line has operated indirectly via Patras, after departing from Pendik in the export direction. Similarly, ships departing from Trieste for Pendik first stopped in Patras. As part of the company's new organisation, DFDS has started services between Patras and Trieste only for shipments in Europe.DFDS’s Mediterranean business unit runs regular services with 14 large ro-ro vessels and more than 60 km of ship capacity.
