Double-digit growth for Rhenus in Switzerland
In 2018 Rhenus Alpina, the Swiss arm of the Rhenus Group, saw its revenues rise by around 10% to CHF 346 million (2017: CHF 314 million). As a whole the market environment remained demanding throughout the year, but despite all adversity Rhenus was able to maintain or improve its position in all its fields of activity. Rhenus employs 1,443 people in Switzerland.
Former entities Rhenus Contract Logistics and Rhenus Freight Logistics, together with MAT Transport, began operating as Rhenus Logistics since the start of 2018. The company believes in being consistently customer focused, and that modus operandi enabled Rhenus to win additional new business and outsourcing projects.
New logistics solutions are now available along the entire supply chain and can be adapted to meet individual process requirements. The company’s logistics centres were also able to increase their capacity utilisation again in 2018. (mw)
