Door-to-door from Luxembourg to China by train
A new Luxembourg – China intermodal train service has just been launched. The first train has already left the Bettembourg-Dudelange intermodal terminal and is expected to arrive at the Chengdu Qingbaijiang international railway port on 19 April.
The train is operated by the Chinese company Chengdu International Railway Service (CDIRS) and the intermodal operators RTSB and CFL multimodal. It is planned to offer the service on a weekly basis by mid-2019, and to offer door-to-door solutions.
In Luxembourg, the containers are delivered to the final destination by road or by rail. In China, CDIRS offers first and last mile and logistics services. (ben)
