DNV's recommended practices for AI
DNV, a risk management and assurance company, has released a set of recommended practices (RPs) to help companies safely implement artificial intelligence (AI) in critical devices, assets, and infrastructure.
These RPs cover essential AI building blocks, such as data, sensors, algorithms, and digital twins. DNV has adapted its assurance methodology to deal with the rapid changes AI-enabled systems undergo.
The RPs aim to bridge the gap between EU AI legislation and affected stakeholders, offering a practical interpretation of the forthcoming European Union Artificial Intelligence Act.
DNV uses a systems approach to capture the interplay of AI with other components and address stakeholder concerns, making AI implementations more trustworthy. (pb)
