Dnata expands into Belgium
Dnata, one of the world’s largest air services providers, is increasing its global footprint again. The company has launched operations in Belgium by opening a new cargo centre at Brussels Airport. The expansion into the Belgian capital represents an investment of EUR 8 million and creates up to 100 local jobs with the company.
The 4,500 sqm warehouse, built on a 14,000 sqm site, substantially increases cargo capacity in the Benelux states (125,000 t per year), thus allowing airline customers to enhance their operations in the region.
The facility is equipped with the latest technologies and complies with the industry standards to ensure efficient and safe handling of all types of cargo, including perishables, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, live animals, aircraft engines and vehicles.
Read the interview with Steven Polmans, Brussels Airport's director cargo & logistics, about this development. It will be published in ITJ 15-16/2019, out next Friday, 5 April 2019. (ah)
