Distributing vaccines in the islands
Cebu Pacific flew another batch of Covid-19 vaccines last Friday, 16 April 2021. This shipment of 35,080 doses was the fourth for the province of Tuguegarao, situated in the northern part of the Philippines, while Puerto Princesa's shipment with 6,400 doses was the second flown by the private carrier.
Upon receipt at the CEB cargo terminal in Manila earlier the same day, the vaccines were immediately kept in refrigerated containers to ensure they maintained their optimum conditions until they arrived at their destinations.
The airline complements local and national government initiatives to curb the number of Covid-19 cases in the country. To date, it has delivered approximately 264,000 doses across VisMin and some parts of Luzon. On 14 April, CEB also flew 91,200 doses to Tacloban, Cotabato and Zamboanga. (ah)
