Distributing auto parts in Maharashtra
Mahindra Logistics has started developing a new 600,000 sqm hub in Phaltan, close to Pune, Maharashtra. Here, the Indian logistics provider will focus primarily on automobile and engineering products, managing inbound logistics and distribution solutions for customers in the auto OEM & components manufacturing sector.
The warehouse is to be designed in accordance with Mahindra Logistics’ sustainability standards, featuring renewable power, decarbonisation measures and participation in community development. As part of the project, an estimated 500 job opportunities will be created in the region.
The total investment amounts to Rs. 170 crores distributed over multiple development phases. The first phase is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2024. (mk)
