Direct train from Munich to Trieste launched
With the new intermodal service, Kombiverkehr is integrating the HHLA Italy terminal in the port of Trieste into its international network. The new direct train now runs between Munich-Riem (Germany) and Trieste twice a week.
In Trieste, the train provides a direct connection to the Grimaldi Group's ferry services to Ambarli-Istanbul, Turkey. From Munich-Riem, there are onward trains to the economic centres in Germany, the Benelux countries, Scandinavia, Poland and Czechia, the company says on its LinkedIn page. (ben)
