Direct connection to Eurasian trains
In response to increasing demand, the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has increased the frequency of its intermodal TransFER service Trieste–Vienna–Linz–Trieste to two round trips per week.
These three-way round trips for FCL (full container load) and FTL (full truck load) transport between the Port of Trieste (Italy), Vienna South and Linz (both Austria) provides a direct connection to international supply chains than run from Europe to China.
The service also offers end-to-end handling and punctual delivery times. Traction and handling are provided from a single source.
The Port of Trieste is an important junction linking the maritime Silk Road with Europe’s rail network. In the coming years, it will expand both the port’s facilities and the Baltic-Adriatic railway axis. (ben)
