Digitalisation to support increasing volumes
Kale Info Solutions, the US subsidiary of Mumbai-based Kale Logistics Solutions, has entered a partnership with Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD). The implementation of its airport cargo community system will reduce manual documentation and data entry time for cargo handlers, increase process efficiency, reduce truck congestion and streamline cargo flows.
"This is another step forward in our strategy to expand the customer base in North America,” said Amar More (left), president, Kale Info Solutions, confirming the new contract with Zach Oakley, RFD deputy director of operations and planning.
RFD has seen annual air cargo throughput triple since 2017, recording a 25% increase in volumes in 2021, and it has increasingly become an important Midwest hub for e-commerce and international trade. (ah)
