Digital revolution in Constanta
A consortium consisting of Romanian company ‘Critical Technologies SRL’, German firm ‘HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH’, and the two Estonian maritime partners EN Shipping Services OÜ and Saaresalu OÜ has won a tender for the port community system (PCS) feasibility study at Romania's Port of Constanta.
The PCS is a digital platform that enhances information exchange among stakeholders in a seaport or logistics ecosystem, aiming to improve efficiency, transparency, and coordination in goods movement through the port.
The study will last nine months and provide recommendations for the PCS's development, aiming to reduce administrative burdens and enhance port management and automation. This PCS will connect various port stakeholders, including the port administration, companies, and relevant institutions.
The move is seen as a step towards modernising maritime trade and fostering coordination between public and private entities. (pb)
