DHL lands new contract in Europe
Vitesco Technologies, a developer of drive systems, has chosen DHL as its lead logistics partner (LLP) in line with its strategy to improve the sustainability of its supply chains. Under the agreement, DHL will centrally manage logistics operations for Vitesco Technologies’ twelve European locations.
Based in the LLP centre of excellence in Warsaw, DHL Supply Chain will manage around 100,000 transport movements, comprising shipments from the supply chain to Vitesco’s plants as well as from the plants to customers. DHL will bundle the freight volumes of numerous large companies to optimise operations, improve transparency and reduce CO2 emissions caused by transport.
Vitesco Technologies’ fleet of electric vehicles – the largest in the logistics sector - will further support the partnership’s sustainability goals. After successful pilot projects, both companies are looking forward to creating fast, safe, and eco-friendly logistics solutions. (mk)
