Désirée Baer to become CEO of SBB Cargo
In March 2020, Désirée Baer will take over the helm at SBB Cargo, after a month’s induction period. She has a degree in business studies from St. Gall University (HSG) and has been serving as CEO of Securitrans Public Transport Security since 2017. This company has almost 1,000 employees.
Before that, Baer was a member of the management of SBB Infrastructure for seven years, in which she was in charge of various divisions, such as production, logistics, fleet management, purchase, sales and IT. Baer also gained executive experience from working as a company consultant and she was managing director of a start-up company.
Baer replaces Nicolas Perrin, who will transfer to SBB Cargo’s administrative board in the second quarter of 2020. He will thus ensure the stability and continuity of SBB Cargo’s further development. The new partners support this choice. (mw)
