Delta Cargo to help combat illegal wildlife trade
Delta Cargo believes that global airlines play a significant role in disrupting the supply chain of illegal wildlife trade and the company is committed to doing its part. Hence, Delta Cargo has signed the Buckingham Palace Declaration and joined United for Wildlife's Transport Taskforce.
United for Wildlife is a global collaboration of organisations working to protect endangered species and combat illegal wildlife trading and trafficking through increasing awareness, strengthening cross-sector collaboration, and supporting on-the-ground conservation efforts.
As a member of the Transport Taskforce, Delta Cargo will implement eleven commitments to animal welfare and conservation, including adopting a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal wildlife trade and increasing awareness of the nature, scale, and consequences of illegal wildlife trade. (cj)
