De Winter Logistics takes over De Lordd Transport
A take-over in the Dutch logistics industry is imminent: De Winter Logistics has purchased its competitor De Lordd Transport. Both companies are active in the same region and the same segment – fresh produce logistics, primarily the transport of flowers.
Eric de Winter, member of the executive board at De Winter Logistics, says: "With the merger, we can improve our services for our customers in the Waddinxveen, Moerkapelle, Boskoop and Bleiswijk regions. We work in a dynamic market with short lead times and more and more direct trade. This requires a presence in the region, speed and efficiency."
Bert van Reeuwijk, owner of De Lordd Transport, adds: "Volumes play a decisive role today. Together we can increase our capacities and improve our services. Since our companies have been working together successfully for a long time, I'm looking forwarding to handing over De Lordd Transport with confidence and optimism." (mw)
