One more DC-3 has been lost. An aircraft that was built in 1944 and was operating for Atlantic Airlines, a company that provides passenger and air cargo flights to and from Tampa (TPA), Orlando (MCO) and Lakeland (LAL), ditched in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean while approaching Nassau airport (NAS), Bahamas.
According to the Aviation Safety Network, the airplane submerged, having sustained yet to be determined damage, and the two pilots on board were not injured during the incident which occurred last Friday. (ah)
