DB Schenker subsidiary automating customs processes

SW Zoll Beratung, which is part of the DB Schenker group, implemented an automated customs solution with an integrated accounting system provided by software service provider Dakosy.

The major project includes links to the firm SW Zoll, 54 DB Schenker offices and the company EVAG Emder Verkehrs und Automotive Gesellschaft.

Dakosy has already realised the nigh-on complete automation of export customs processes for EVAG, which is also part of the DB Schenker group and is one of SW Zoll’s major customers. Export processing, including releasing approximately 500,000 vehicles annually in the port of Emden, is carried out through a black-box interface. (ben)
