DB Schenker strengthens management board
DB Schenker is setting up its management team for the future and has elected two top international managers to strengthen its management board.
The Dutchman Hessel Verhage (left), formerly executive vice president global strategy and transformation, is moving up to the top management. On 1 November, he will also take over the management board’s contract logistics division.
The Dane Jakob Wegge-Larsen (right), previously chief financial officer and senior vice president of the ocean & logistics business unit at the Danish Maersk Group, has been appointed by Schenker’s supervisory board as the new chief financial officer and will join the company on 1 March 2023.
Until 31 December 2022, responsibility for Schenker's finance department will still be in the hands of Oliver Seidl, who will be leaving the company in 2023 at his own request. (cj)
