DB Schenker relocates new furniture logistics
The contract and furniture logistics specialist Reber Logistik is taking over the shipment and distribution of new furniture between Germany and France, a business that was previously organised by DB Schenker, effective 1 June 2024. The rail subsidiary has decided to discontinue these operations in France at the end of May.
DB Schenker took over the furniture logistics business from the Saarland-based freight forwarder Anterist + Schneider in 2002 and has operated it to date.
At the beginning of June, Reber Logistik will take over the French transport operations and the nationwide distribution network from the Saarland branch of DB Schenker Deutschland. Site manager Peter Georges and Achim Maske, previously head of new furniture logistics at Schenker, will lead the new unit at Reber Logistik. (cj)
