DB Schenker expands its logistics capacities
The freight terminal GVZ in Augsburg is an important hub for cargo traffic in southern Germany. Now, DB Schenker has opened a new logistics hall in the GVZ Augsburg with a total storage space of 38,000 sqm.
Here, the logistics services provider serves international companies and firms that are of key importance for Augsburg, such as the robot manufacturer Kuka and the Media Shop group.
Including the newly inaugurated storage hall, DB Schenker now has 78,000 sqm of commercial space that can be used for contract logistics in this location. In the Augsburg region, the company runs a wide range of logistics businesses on various sites covering a total area of about 140,000 sqm. (mw)
