DB Schenker: a new site in Glasgow
The new multi-modal site at Hillington, Scotland, offers more than 1,580 sqm of warehousing space and more than 750 pallet positions for storage and pick/pack services.
The high-security site features full camera coverage which includes its own external yard for devanning and loading containers. It is also ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliant and will achieve ETSF (external temporary storage facility) type A status within the next month.
With the addition to its network, DB Schenker in UK and Ireland has expanded and enhanced its capabilities in Scotland. The new site is the result of significant investment in the Central Belt area and will provide regional customers with a much wider scope of services than its previous site, the logistics company said.
