Danish logistics expert to lead Heathrow
The Board of Heathrow Airport has appointed Thomas Woldbye, currently the boss of Copenhagen Airport (CPH), as the person to replace John Holland-Kaye when he steps down after nearly ten years in post.
Following an extensive recruitment process, Woldbye emerged as the standout candidate among contenders from across the world. Having served as the CEO of CPH since 2011, he brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record as a CEO of a major airport.
Previously, Woldbye had worked for A.P. Møller-Maersk for 27 years. Having started his career as a management trainee in A.P Møller-Mærsk in 1983, he subsequently held several management positions in Indonesia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Denmark, primarily involved in the management of the worldwide container business. In 2004, Woldbye became Group CEO of the Dutch Norfolkline Group. (ah)
