Daniel Bean honoured
Jax Chamber has elected Jaxport board secretary and retired US Navy Captain Daniel K. Bean (Photo) as the recipient of the 7th annual RDML Kevin F. Delaney Hall of Fame award in recognition for his significant contributions to the Jacksonville community as veteran.
Bean earned this award with his decorated Naval career and his current work as an advocate for veterans of the area. The military Hall of Fame was founded in 2014 to honour one veteran each year.
In 2019, Bean was appointed to Jaxport’s board by Florida governor Ron DeSantis. But he also serves in many other positions and is a personal mentor to various Northeast Florida veterans. (amh)
