Dancet deserts Ralpin

Large shoes to fill: René Dancet, CEO of Ralpin, is leaving the company at his own request to pursue a new career. In a press release, the company paid tribute to Dancet who "has made a significant contribution to the establishment and development of the company and managed it with great success".

After 15 years with the truck-on-train service provider, Dancet will leave on 31 July 2019. He spoke of a "wonderfully enriching experience" and continued: "Now is the right time to pass the reins to a new leader and accept new challenges."

He has been in charge of Ralpin since 2004. The company's board of directors thanked Dancet "for his exceptional devotion to the company. He understands how to position the "rolling highway" product as a key component in Switzerland's modal shift policy." The board will address the issue of his successor in the days to come. (cd)
