Damen strengthens executive board
Ronald Suhlmann (photo) will become the new chief financial officer of Damen Shipyards Group, effective 1 April 2021. Succeeding Tom Touber, who held this position ad interim for two years, Suhlmann also joins Damen's executive board. He moved to Damen in 2015, after starting his career at Ballast Nedam.
The group, which offers maritime solutions in 18 countries operating 36 shipyards, has also appointed Mario Herrebout to the newly created role of chief counsel.
He also will assume his new responsibilities on 1 April 2021. Currently general counsel and company secretary, Herrebout has worked for Damen Naval since 2009 and switched to the group at the end of 2019. (amh)
