Dakosy: Dieter Spark retires
Dakosy's long-standing board member Dieter Spark is retiring at the end of the year. His career, which began in 1982, is closely interwoven with the Hamburg-based software company.
Spark witnessed the birth of the then start-up Dakosy as a working student in 1982. In the years that followed, he worked in all company units and acquired extensive expertise in IT, logistics and customs.
In 2002, Spark was appointed to the management board alongside Ulrich Wrage. Over the following two decades, the management duo consistently developed the company into a major provider of logistics software and community operator for seaports and airports.
However, Spark's succession is assured. Business IT specialist Simon Lembke, who joined the company in 2004, was appointed to the management board on 1 September 2023. (cj)
