Daimler Truck parts from Saxony-Anhalt to the world

Mercedes-Benz Trucks officially celebrated the start of the construction of its new logistics hub, the "Daimler Truck Global Parts Centre", with the laying of the foundation stone last week.

The company plans to put the building in Halberstadt, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany into operation in stages as from 2025. In the first phase of expansion, the new facility will have a gross floor area of around 270,000 sqm with around 260,000 sqm of logistics space. About 2,600 Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ suppliers will provide the logistics hub with their parts in the future.

Halberstadt will thus become the centre of the worldwide supply of spare parts for Mercedes-Benz Trucks. In a three-stage logistics process, the new location will serve around 20 regional logistics hubs worldwide – in, for example, various European countries, Turkey, the UAE, Brazil and China – which in turn will supply regional dealers with parts.
