Daimler truck-charging expansion
From April 2025 on customers in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain and Poland will gain access to UTA Edenred’s public e-charging network for Mercedes-Benz electric trucks, through the 'Mercedes ServiceCard'.
Following initial availability in Germany, Austria and France, the expansion marks a “key development step” in the rollout of Daimler Truck’s public charging offer. UTA Edenred’s network currently includes around 300 truck-compatible public charging stations in 28 countries, including locations from the Milence fast-charging network.
According to Pierre Jalady, CEO of UTA Edenred, the partnership with Daimler Truck supports sustainable mobility goals. Christian Velleuer, CEO of Mercedes ServiceCard GmbH & Co. KG, emphasised the strategic value of public charging access for the deployment of Mercedes' electric trucks. (js)
