Daf manufactures 10,000th XB truck

Daf Trucks has reached the production of its 10,000th new generation Daf XB at its Leyland facility in the UK. The vehicle was delivered to Maxi Haulage, a logistics provider that operates in the UK and Ireland.

The Daf XB, introduced in December 2023, is designed for urban and regional distribution, offering diesel and all-electric driveline options with zero-emission ranges of up to 350 km, as Daf has reported. It features safety systems and manoeuvrability for city transport.

“This milestone shows the success of the XB distribution truck in the UK and abroad,” said Simon Powell, operations manager at Leyland Trucks. Maxi Haulage’s new XB, part of a 23-truck order, “will be fitted with a curtain-sided body and tail-lift for palletised distribution,” as Daf Trucks wrote. (js)
