Dachser elects Robert Erni as CFO
Dachser has appointed Robert Erni, who has many years of experience as head of finance for other logistics companies, as CFO to succeed Burkhard Eling. Erni will start his induction period as deputy director on 1 September 2020.
Most recently, the Swiss national served as CFO and head of the finance department at logistics service provider Panalpina. In this role, he was involved in the implementation of the merger with the Danish logistics group DSV.
Erni began his career at the logistics group Kuehne + Nagel, where he managed branch offices in Hong Kong, India, Argentina and USA before becoming head of controlling at the company’s headquarters.
When he left K+N after 19 years of service for the company and joined Panalpina in 2012, K+N's HQ in Schindellegi was not amused at seeing Erni move to the other side of the fence. (mw)
