Dachser doubling down up north
Dachser is taking over its Finnish joint venture that it’s operated together with Ace Logistics since 2013. The JV, Dachser Finland, was previously owned equally by both partners, and now Dachser has acquired Ace’s share.
The move strengthens Dachser’s overland network in northern Europe, bringing together road haulage capacities in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. It will cater to industrial and consumer goods producers as well as the food industry.
The venture will be integrated into Dachser’s Nordic overland organisation, headed by managing director Peter Hut.
Ace is based in Tallinn (Estonia) and will remain a partner of Dachser, while the latter further expands in the region, with new branches in Norway and Denmark and a new site in Tampere (Finland) planned for spring 2025. (mk)
