Cyber security certified
The Munich-based freight forwarder Group7 was recently awarded the ISO 27001 certificate. The seal of approval confirms that the company ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information in accordance with all protection requirements.
"According to Statista, 46% of all companies in Germany have experienced a cyber-attack in the last twelve months,” said CEO Günther Jocher. “The ISO 27001 certificate shows that we’ve put our processes to the test and increased data security," he added, commenting on the motivation for the certification.
The company received the seal of approval from the BSI Group, which specialises in standards and certification. The seal applies to all Group7 logistics locations in Germany. The successful certification team at Group7 included Thomas Wiederspahn, its head of quality management, Klaus Spielmann, authorised signatory and head of the legal department, and Carsten Cramer, IT systems engineer.
