Crossing borders without changing locomotives
The rental company Railpool has signed a framework agreement with Siemens for the delivery of up to 250 locomotives. 70 Vectron locomotives were immediately called up - 24 multisystem locomotives for AC and DC networks and 46 AC locomotives.
With this first order, Railpool will increase its Vectron fleet to 228 units. They can operate in up to 16 countries and on various European rail corridors. With an output of 6.4 megawatts and a top speed of up to 230 km/h, the Vectrons are furnished with the necessary national train protection systems and the European train control system. (ben)
