Creating a new rail footprint for Australia
Team Global Express (TGE) has signed an eleven-year partnership with Aurizon to operate its containerised railfreight service along the East-West (Sydney-Melbourne-Adelaide-Perth) and North-South (Brisbane-Sydney-Melbourne) railfreight networks.
The Australian carrier will deploy seven train services for the operations. TGE operates a comprehensive intermodal fleet comprising rail, sea, air, and road transport.
Last year, it partnered with Arena to deliver Australia's largest logistics electric vehicle fleet. The ground breaking trial involves the purchase of 60 large battery electric vehicles and the development of charging infrastructure using renewable energy. (ben)
