Craiss opens washing facility
Craiss Generation Logistics has reported that it has launched a washing facility for reusable transport containers in Sibiu (Romania), developed for a client in the automotive sector.
The facility integrates a water recycling system and digital process control to optimise container logistics. It can clean up to 800 containers per hour, accommodating over 400 packaging types. The washing system uses high-pressure cleaning and automated processes. Adjustable tracks allow cleaning of different container sizes, while drying units prepare them for reuse. A closed-loop system ensures a continuous supply of cleaned containers in Europe.
Sustainability measures include a multi-stage water treatment system that extends water use up to four weeks. A planned photovoltaic installation aims to further improve energy efficiency. Additionally, a digital platform enables real-time inventory tracking. (js)
