Cosco launches new generation of green vessels
Cosco Shipping has contracted to build twelve 14,000 teu dual-fuel methanol container vessels as part of its commitment to green and low-carbon development.
These advanced vessels, featuring cutting-edge design and technology, will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by using methanol as a fuel. They are equipped with high-capacity reefer container spaces, making them suitable for cold chain logistics.
This order aligns with Cosco's strategy to modernise its fleet for environmental sustainability, combining new shipbuilding with retrofitting existing vessels for a greener shipping future. (pb)
