Cosco expands in North Africa
Cosco Shipping Lines has opened a new branch in Casablanca. Cosco Shipping Lines (Morocco) aims to strengthen trade between North Africa and the rest of the world, as part of Cosco Shipping Europe's strategy to improve links via its "big corridor and three networks" plan, combining sea and rail transport with storage solutions.
The new Moroccan branch will leverage the TSM service, launched last September, to connect ports in Turkey, Spain, and Morocco, offering a direct link to Valencia. The project highlights the increasing importance of North Africa in global commerce and is expected to boost growth in Morocco and further afield. (pb)
