Cooperation along the Russia-India transport corridor
Multimodal logistic operator RZD Logistics in Russia and container rail operator Concor in India have signed an agreement stipulating that Concor will provide the container fleet and equipment for arranging and developing transportation on the North-South international transport corridor.
In addition, the Indian operator will oversee local logistics services in India, as well as provide sea freight. RZD Logistics, in turn, will be responsible for organising freight handling at the multimodal transfer points and container transportation by rail.
According to Concor, the agreement increases its responsibilities for transporting cargo from lndia to Russia and vice-versa under a single invoice and will help reduce transit times and costs. (ben)
