Cool in Copenhagen and Paris
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), an air cargo handler, is investing EUR 10 million in a new pharma centre to expand its range of services for airline and freight forwarder customers at Paris CDG (France). This investment also includes equipment and supplies for the next ten years.
Opening this month, it will be the only facility owned by a local ground handler dedicated to pharmaceuticals. The investment follows the opening of WFS pharma facilities in Johannesburg (South Africa), Miami (FL, USA) and a 1,500 sqm hub in Copenhagen (Denmark), where, according to the airport’s director of airline sales & route development Morten T. Mortensen (right), WFS has set new standards for the handling of pharma products: "With this expansion, WFS is playing an important role in one of our priorities in the 'grow pharma' cargo strategy."
